Exporting Annotations

Comments can be exported from the current document into a file in FDF, XFDF, .txt, XML & CSV format. Comments from Text Annotations, Graphics Annotations, and Sound Annotations will be exported. Hyperlinks are not considered comments in PDF format and thus are not exported.

Comments can be exported in the following formats

FDF: File format created by Adobe that is supported by most PDF applications

XFDF: Extended FDF file format created by Adobe that is supported by most PDF applications

Text: Simple text file (.txt) that will contain all of the annotation information

XML: File format that is similar to an Excel file that will contain all of the annotation information

CSV: Exports all comment data into the .csv format allowing you to view in any spreadsheet editor such as Micrsoft Excel

Highlighted Text: Creates a plain text file with all highlighted text separated by pages.

How to Export Annotations

From the Comments Tab choose Export
Select format to export and this will display the save dialog.
Select the location and name of the file to export to and click Save
