Assigning Comments to Layers
Comments can be assigned to a specific layer in the document. When the comment is associated with a layer showing or hiding the layer also affects the comments. You can edit the annotation properties to move comments to a new layer. Comments that are associated with No Layer will be a part of the primary PDF content.
Moving Comments to a New Layer
Existing comments can be moved to a new layer using the properties dialog
- Access the Comment properties by right clicking (Mac: Ctrl + Click)
on the annotation and choosing Properties in the mouse menu or clicking
on the edit button
on the Mini Toolbar. - Go to the General tab
- In the Layer option, select the layer you wish to move the annotation to
- Click OK to apply the changes
Note: If the layer selected is currently hidden the annotation will disappear until the layer is displayed again.
