Import Comments Node
The Import Comments node is used to import comments into a PDF document. When the source is a comment data file (.fdf or .xfdf) it will be imported into a static local PDF. When the source is a PDF, a local comment data file will be imported into the source PDF.
General Settings
Import: Comments can be imported one of 2 ways:
- from a static LOCAL comments file into the PDF in the message payload
- comments data from the MESSAGE PAYLOAD into static local PDF document
File - Sets the source file for the form data import. When the source is a comment data file (.fdf, .xfdf or .pdf) it will be imported into a static local PDF. When the source is a PDF, a local comment data file will be imported into the source PDF.
Note: This directory is local to where the server is running not the PAS Manager and so the file path must follow the format set by the OS of the server.
Supported Comment Formats
Comments can be imported using the following formats
FDF: File format created by Adobe that is supported by most PDF applications
XFDF: Extended FDF file format created by Adobe that is supported by most PDF applications
PDF: Takes any comments found in the selected PDF file and duplicates them in the current PDF
